HAMA, JUN.8, (ST)- Today, the Minister of Tourism, Mohamed Rami Martini, opened the “Infinity” restaurant, the “Czar” tourist facility after their rehabilitation in the city of Hama, and the “Near the Sky” hotel in the city of Masyaf.

During a meeting held at the headquarters of  the General Secretariat of the Governorate,  the Minister discussed ways to improve and support the tourism sector and overcome the problems that face it, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The agency added that Martini visited  the handicrafts market in the archaeological Khan Rustom Pasha, the approved site for the construction of the new tourism and hotel institute and the hotel school in the city of Masyaf, the Church of St. George on Masyaf and the St. Georg’s  Monastery in Mharda city.

In a statement to reporters, the Minister  said: “The  goal of the tour is to review the tourist attraction sites in Hama Governorate, which possess all the cultural, religious, recreational and natural tourism components and patterns, and to support them.”

He indicated that anyone who wants to visit Syria can now apply via his mobile phone or computer to obtain an entry visa within hours or a few days.

“This process was taking a long time and  procedures as a result of the unilateral sanctions on Syria,” Martini added.

The investor of the “Czar” tourist facility, Mohammad Tanbar, said: “ The facility was closed at the beginning of the terrorist war on Syria in 2011 and it was reopened at the end of last March. It is distinguished by its location and it attracts visitors and guests from various governorates throughout the week. The number of workers in the facility is currently 275 workers.”
