Tourism Investment Market Presents 47 Investment Projects

Damascus, (ST) – With the participation of businessmen, investors and economic activities, the Ministry of Tourism yesterday organized the 8th Forum of Tourism Investment Market 2015 entitled “pioneering investment for a promising tomorrow”.

The forum aims to apply the ministry’s strategy and re- glow the tourism sector and to confirm its contribution to the reconstruction and job creation for young Syrians. The Forum presents 47 investment and promotional projects distributed in seven provinces.

 In a speech during the opening of the forum, the Minister of tourism Bisher Yaziji confirmed that the launch of the forum at this stage confirms the will of life of the Syrian people and their determination to continue.

“The ministry is working to meet the challenges of the crisis through planning and legislation to override all reflexes of the current conditions on the tourism sector and the re-creation of a system of tourist services, saying that the launch of the Investment Forum is the beginning in the process of construction, development and reconstruction and it is confident step aimed primarily to serve the citizens through finding new employment opportunities and revitalize the local economy so as to meet the needs of citizens and improve their standard of living” Mr. Yaziji said.

He explained that the forum creates an open climate for investors and helps in attracting capitals in tourism investment.

In a statement to local press, Minister of Administrative Development, Dr. Hassan al-Nouri said “We as national institutions support the Forum of Tourism and Investment and care for institutional rehabilitation of tourist facilities.”
