Tim Anderson’s New Book “Countering War Propaganda of the Dirty War on Syria”

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Australian writer Tim Anderson, Professor of Political Sciences in Sydney University, signed on Thursday his second book “Countering War Propaganda of the Dirty War on Syria”at the al-Assad National Library in Damascus.

According to Anderson, Countering War Propaganda of the Dirty War on Syria is a selection of counter-propaganda images used on social media during the NATO-led proxy war against Syria, from 2011 to 2017.

He said the book conveys the needed message the Main Stream Media have tried to hide and falsify its facts by broadcasting and publishing fabrications, lies and false reports about events in Syria in order to mislead the world public opinion about what is really going on in the country.

 He clarified that the media war on Syria adopted different methods over the years of the crisis. It started with the humanitarian perspective but later shifted into another perspective based on the protection of citizens claims.

Anderson pointed out that “the Syrian Arab army is the force that has confronted Daesh terrorist organization not the United States.”

United States is the mastermind of wars in the region

“The United States is the mastermind of wars in the region. It uses its agents, including Israel and Saudi Arabia, and depends on some misinformation and misleading media to ignite wars,” he stressed.   

Anderson noted that he is now busy preparing a third book on Syria and the region and on how countries reacted to the crisis in the Syria.

In a statement to journalists, Minister of Information Mohammad Ramez Turjman said the book, which basically targets western readers, contains a lot of sources and images that shed light on the reality of the ongoing events in Syria and uncover that the so-called “Arab Spring” is a western scheme and a conspiracy hatched against the region to weaken and divide it in the service of Israel’s interest.

“The book documents the crimes of the terrorist organizations and explains in details that what is going on in Syria is a war that aims at breaking the will of the Syria people, undermining the homogenous fabric of the Syrian society and forcing the Syrians to give up their just causes and Arabism.

 Anderson’s first book ” the Dirty War on Syria” was published last year and was translated into nine languages. In the book the writer presented information explaining how the terrorist war on Syria was planned.
