Ties with Occupation to lead to adverse consequences for region

TEHRAN– Iran’s parliamentary official Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah met in Beirut Tue. to confer on the latest political developments in the Middle East, according to Mehre News Agency.

During the meeting with Iran’s Parliament Director General for International Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah deemed the terrorist-sponsoring regime of Israel and Takfiri terrorism two sides of one coin and a great threat to the region.

Nasrallah stressed that the success of Syria’s political talks depends on separating known terrorists from the rest of the opposition and launching a serious fight against terrorism.

The Hezbollah chief noted the ambitious goals of the Israeli regime, warning that the decision of certain countries for establishing covert or overt relations with the regime would bring about adverse consequences for the region.

Nasrallah lauded Syrian resistance in combating terrorism, adding “Zionists have never spared any efforts for tarnishing the image of Islam and weakening Muslim countries, but we will continue to stand firm against the aggrandizement of the Zionist regime.”

The two sides then conferred on regional developments and stressed the need for a political solution to settling conflicts in Syria, Yemen and Bahrain. They further called for unity among Muslim countries on the issue of Palestine and Jerusalem.

Amir-Abdollahian, who is also in charge of the International Conference in Support of Palestinian that will be convened in February in Tehran, highlighted Iran’s active presence in the course of Syria’s political negotiations and the Islamic Republic’s continued support to Syria and Iraq in the fight against terrorism.

The Iranian official also held talks on the latest situation in Palestine with senior officials from the Islamic Jihad Movement and Islamic Resistance Movement ‘Hamas’.
