Three women Palestinian prisoners start a hunger strike in protest against crimes of the occupation

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) -Three Palestinian women prisoners announced on Monday their hunger strike in protest against the continuous crimes of the Israeli occupation against the prisoners.

Palestinian media quoted the Palestinian Prisoners Club as saying in a statement today that, the female prisoners Marah Bakir, Shorouk Dwayat and Mona Qaadan started an open hunger strike in protest against the arbitrary practices of the Israeli occupation.

The statement pointed out that, a few days ago, the occupation had detained the three female prisoners in solitary confinement in the Damon prison, and prevented their family from visiting them.

This brings the number of prisoners on hunger strike in the occupation jails to four, the oldest of whom is Hisham Abu Hawash, who has been on hunger strike for 126 days.

Abu Hawash suffers from deterioration in his health that threatens his life, amid the continued intransigence of the occupation authorities with their arbitrary practices and their refusal to release him.

About 5,000 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails face harsh detention conditions, including about 600 prisoners who are in need for urgent medical care.
