Three US-backed SDF militants killed in the countryside of Hasaka and Deir Ezzor

HASAKA/ DEIR EZZOR, (ST)- Three militants affiliated to the US-backed separatist Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were killed on Wednesday in two blasts that targeted their positions in the countryside of Hasaka and Deir Ezzor.

Local sources told SANA that a landmine exploded when an armed patrol affiliated to the SDF militia was passing in the vicinity of Tal Tamer, to the north of Hasaka, killing one of the SDF militants.

In the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, local sources said that “two SDF militants were killed after an explosive device went off in the vicinity of al-Omar oil field.”

The SDF militia cordoned off the targeted areas, carried out raids and searched the passersby and the cars.

Attacks by unknown persons against the US-backed SDF militia have been escalated. An SDF militant was killed yesterday in a machinegun attack carried out by unknown persons on one of the SDF militia’s positions in the village of al-Jarzi in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
