Ireland, Cyprus and Slovenia announced today their readiness to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former war minister Yoav Gallant for committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip.

Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris told the Irish RTE network today: “yes, of course Netanyahu will be arrested if he arrives in Ireland… We support the international courts and comply with the arrest warrants issued by them”.

In Cyprus, Reuters quoted a government source as saying that his country is preparing arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court, which are “binding and respected in principle”.

In turn, Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golube confirmed to the Slovenian News Agency STA that his country will respect and fully comply with the arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court against  officials of the government of “Israel” .

Last June, Slovenia became the latest European Union state to recognize the State of Palestine after its Parliament approved the move by a majority vote.
