Three citizens martyred in terrorist attacks in Damascus

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Terrorists fired on Monday five mortar rounds on three areas in Damascus.

According to SANA, the first two mortar rounds landed in Baba Sharqi area causing material damaged. One citizen is said martyred and other several ones were injured.

A source at Police Leadership said that the third mortar round landed behind a shop near Dwe’la area causing martyrdom of two citizens. At least 28 citizens were also injured at the scene. 

 

The fourth mortar round hit a home in al-Mesk alley in Bab Sharqi leaving material damages. No one was hurt, according to the source.

While the fifth mortar round targeted Tishreen stadium in Baramkeh area during the second half of football match between two Syrian teams (MesfatBanyas and Omaya).

Several players and administrators were injured, SANA reported.

On February,20,2013, a Syrian footballer was martyred in a mortar strike launched by terrorists on the stadium.
