Thousands of citizens return to their houses in Daraa Al-Balad after the army expelled the terrorists

In implementation of the settlement agreement proposed by the Syrian State to attain security and stability in the neighborhood of Daraa Al-Balad, thousands of citizens started on Thursday to return to their houses in the neighborhood after the Syrian Army has set up points in this area.

According to the settlement agreement, the terrorists, who refuse the settlement, should leave the neighborhood to the north of Syria, while the gunmen, who seek settlement, must handover their weapons to the Syrian Army and settle their legal status in order to go back to normal life.

The army’s engineering units also continued to clear the neighborhood from explosive devices and mines, to remove earth mounds and to open the roads in order to accelerate the return of all the locals to their houses.

Returnees started entering their neighborhood by cars, public transportation means and on foot after hundreds of gunmen had handed over their weapons and settled their legal status.

On Wednesday, the army units entered Daraa Al-Balad area and hoisted the national flag over the settlement center building in Al-Arbaeen neighborhood.
