Thousands of Americans sign petition demanding that racist Israeli minister Bezalel Smotrich be denied a visa

WASHINGTON- More than 5,000 Americans have signed a petition calling for the fascist Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich to be banned from entering the United States and to cancel his entry visa, according to WAFA News Agency.

In a letter to the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, signatories of the petition said the United States must cancel Smotrich’s visit to the US scheduled next week because of his racist statements that call for violence and atrocities against the Palestinian people.

The petition said that in less than a week after the Israeli occupation had committed a massacre in the West Bank city of Nablus which claimed the lives of 11 Palestinians and caused injuries to 100 others, Smotrich made an instigating statement in which he called for wiping out the Palestinian village of Hawara, south of Nablus in the West Bank.

On February 26, Israeli settlers stormed and attacked the Palestinian villages of Hawara, Burin, Zaatara and Asira al-Qabaliyya. The armed settlers burned and damaged houses, vehicles and shops, injured hundreds of civilians and shot and killed Sameh Aqtash in his home in Zaatara.

Smotrich told Israeli television after the settlers’ massacre that the village of Hawara “should be wiped out.”

“This is a clear call for genocide,” said the petition to Secretary Blinken, calling on him to do more than condemning Smotrich’s statements, by taking away his platform in the United States in which he continues to spread hatred and raise funds for his anti-Palestinian agenda.

Smotrich’s racist statements have received wide Palestinian and international condemnation.
