The Zionist-American Project and the International Struggle over Waterways in a Seminar at Al-Assad Library

Damascus (ST) – The Syrian Arab Popular Committee for Supporting the Palestinian People and Resisting the Zionist Project, in cooperation with Al-Quds International Foundation- Syria and the Palestinian forces alliance, held a seminar entitled “The Zionist-American Project and the International Conflict over Waterways – Bab al-Mandab Strait as a Model”, at Al-Assad International Library in Damascus.

The Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Saber Falhout, noted the need to shed light on the importance of the geographical position of the Arab homeland, which is located in the middle of the world, including the waterways, calling for disseminating youth awareness about the old and new colonialist aspirations in the resources and positions of the Arab countries.

Director of Al-Quds International Foundation in Syria, Dr. Khalaf Al-Muftah, explained the difference between the political geography related to the conflicts throughout history and the strategic geography related to the place because of its permanent importance by virtue of its existence, such as Bab al-Mandab Strait.

He noted the need to be aware of the pretexts fabricated by the colonial countries and their proxies to plant terrorist groups in the regions that are rich in natural resources or that have strategic locations and control waterways.

Palestinian writer and researcher, Dr. Ibrahim AbdulKarim, presented a study related to the Zionist entity’s current calculations regarding Bab Al-Mandab Strait and Yemen and its plans to create a large vital field for it.

Tunisian political analyst Dr. Tawfik Al-Madini stressed the need to raise awareness about the Zionist-American project in the region targeting the seas and waterways, mainly Bab Al-Mandab Strait with the aim of dividing and tearing Yemen apart to achieve control over it and over the entire Red Sea.

The Yemeni ambassador to Damascus, Abdullah Sabri, stated that the aggressive war on Yemen is a continuation of the colonial area and it is parallel to the war on Syria, all within the framework of serving the Zionist-American project in the region.
