The West suffered defeat in Syria, says former Czech diplomat

Prague, (ST) – The former Czech diplomat Vladimir Votabek said that the West was defeated in Syria, especially after the achievements of the Syrian Arab Army against terrorism.

The end of the war in Syria is imminent after the Syrian Arab army has succeeded in restoring security and stability in most of the Syrian regions. The West suffered defeat despite the great support it provided to the terrorist organizations, Votabek noted in an article he posted on the “Ednis” website.

Another reason for the defeat of the Western plan was the success of the Astana talks on Syria, Votabek said.
