The West seriously erred in its position on Ukraine, says Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament

Budapest, (ST) – The Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament Laslo Kiefer, confirmed that the Western world has seriously erred in its position on the situation around Ukraine.

RT website quoted Kiefer as saying in a radio interview today: “The West made a strategic mistake when it tried not only to remove Ukraine from Moscow’s circle of interest, but also to turn it into a large military base directed against Russia.”

The Hungarian politician stressed that the targeted sanctions under the pretext of the Russian special military operation harmed Europe more than Russia.
