Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Bashar Al-Jaafari on Wednesday stressed that Syria never makes mistakes in its foreign policy from the strategic point of view, pointing out that the experience has proved the rightness of Syria’s stances towards many projects and agreements that aimed at fragmenting and occupying the region.
Al-Jaafari was speaking during a meeting on Wednesday with a delegation comprising leaders and dignitaries of Syrian clans as well as men of religion.
He affirmed that the war on Syria aimed at avenging it mostly for its nationalist stances, particularly towards the Palestinian cause.
“No country has paid as dear a price as Syria has for its independence and dignity. This is what made it triumph over its enemies although there are many of them. Syria’s just cause and the Syrian people’s cohesion and unity behind the wise and patient leadership of President Bashar Al-Assad has managed to undermine the prestige of what was called great powers and to prove the legitimacy of its stance. Syria has also managed to change the equations of international balance, as the world order is no longer unipolar, rather it has witnessed a strong presence of other major powers,” Al-Jaafari said.
On their part, members of the delegation reiterated the Syrian clans’ support for the unity of their homeland and the leadership of President Al-Assad. They voiced the clans’ rejection of all forms of terrorism and occupation that aim at disintegrating the Syria’s social and demographic unity and vowed to fight for Syria’s independence dignity.
