The Voice of the Syrian People

The decisions regarding Syria are made and taken only by the Syrians themselves. H.E. President Al-Assad has been so clear in replying a question put by Iranian TV, the voice of the Syrian People, ambitions, reactions, and expectations have indeed been the compass.

What matters for Syria is to pursue the fight against al-Qaeda affiliates, to restore stability and security and to dialogue as to achieve reconciliations. Actually once others stop their support to terrorism, Syria is too rid from the cancer of terrorism.

Syria is in need for serious engagement by others as to say and do the same when it comes to combating terrorism. As for the question of the leadership in Syria, this is an internal issue to be decided only by the Syrians, who have already voted for President Al-Assad with more than 88 percent of the vote.

The Syrians have no other alternative but to defend their Syria against the terrorists of more than 80 countries, asserted President Al-Assad, citing the dire need that the countries sponsoring and supporting terrorists should halt such a political support to terrorists, halt financing and sending arms to the terrorists.

His Excellency President Al-Assad underscored further the urgent need for  exerting pressure on EU countries and its affiliated countries in the region, which secure the financial, military and logistic support to terrorists as to end such a destructive role, so that real change on the ground would be useful, influential and fruitful in the war against terrorism.

The economic aspect is one of the aspects targeted by the aggression against Syria, through the blockade and sanctions imposed on Syrians and the destruction of the infrastructures. The backing and support by friendly countries, on top of them Iran, have had huge influence in boosting the steadfastness of the Syrian People, underscored H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad.
