The victory of the Lebanese resistance in July war changed political and military equations in the region
Damascus, (ST) – The historic victory achieved by the Lebanese national resistance during the July 2006 war was a turning point that changed the political and military equations in the region.
On the 12th of July 2006, the Israeli entity violated Lebanon’s sovereignty and practiced all forms of terrorism against its people over a period of a month and a half. It used its deadly war arsenal in its aggression with the support and blessing of the United States, but the resistance made this entity suffer heavy military losses and forced it to accept a cease-fire.
The resistance’s victory of August 14, in which the will to stand firm and the sacrifices of the martyrs and wounded were manifested, has perpetuated the importance of the choice of resistance as the only option to preserve the dignity of peoples, prevent domination, and as the only guarantee for the recovery of the occupied lands.
Although 17 years have passed since the July war and the start of implementing the international resolution No. 1701, the Israeli enemy continues to violate that resolution and the Lebanese sovereignty through provocations, sorties and sending drones. It also keeps attempting to cross the separation line north of occupied Palestine, which confirms the aggressive expansionist nature of this criminal entity.
