The Vanguards of the Baath Organization holds its 38th conference

The 38th Annual Conference of the Vanguards of the Baath Organization was held in the Al-Assad Library in the presence of the Minister of Education and a member of the Central Command of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, Head of the Education and Vanguards Office, Yasser Al-Shawfi.

Dr. Muhammad Ezzat Arabi Katbi the head of the Vanguards of the Baath Organization confirmed that the organization continued its tasks and activities and provided psychological support to children and strengthened their patriotism, pointing to the organization’s participatory role with the Ministry of Education in building children intellectually and psychologically because they will build a future of Syria .

Katebee pointed out the necessity of allocating a center for children’s activities in every school, establishing an applied school for avant-garde activities, and a central music institute.

The participants recommended re-sending the vanguards for external participation, to represent the organization in issues related to children’s rights. They also suggested   allocating an organization’s hall to sell school supplies for the basic education stage, and investing parts of the organization’s camps in productive projects.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, affirmed that it is not possible to advance education except through the advancement of the teacher’s skills in partnership with the authorities concerned with educational work by providing incentives, in addition to the ministry’s goal of rehabilitating schools, developing the study plan and improving teaching methods.

Minister Tabbaa indicated the ministry’s readiness to allocate a school to be a national center for children’s activities, including an interactive platform, a permanent exhibition of children’s creative products, and a national museum of folklore.

In turn, Al-Shoufi indicated that the organization is a real partner in the educational process, and therefore it must have an opinion on decisions, matters related to children and educational curricula, , and the establishment of educational forums that deal with topics and research of interest to childhood with the participation of the concerned authorities.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa  said to Syriatimes : “All the capabilities of the Vanguards of the Baath Organization are still present, and there is a great desire to develop pioneering work and build a conscious generation.”

 He added “Many educators presented several recommendations that help build a good future for our children. These  recommendations will be implemented and we have to work together to provide support to our children and help them to do their best.”

The conference participants stressed the necessity of activating the avant-garde sports championships in schools, reactivating administrators in activity schools, restoring parks in the governorates, accrediting the organization as a representative of childhood and representing it in the National Committee for UNESCO.
