The Valdai International Dialogue Forum kicks off in Moscow
On February 17, the ninth session of the Valdai International Forum for Dialogue began in Moscow in cooperation with the Russian Orientalist Institute under the title “Middle East in a Time of Change: Towards New Stability Architecture”.
More than 50 officials and experts from 20 countries participated in the two-day forum which will discuss the most important challenges facing the Middle East region in addition to the relations between Russia and the countries of the region.
In a speech, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov said that the forum has become a platform for discussing crises in the MENA region and finding solutions to them.
He stressed that one of the priorities of Russian policy is to combat terrorism and reduce escalation through joint action and the establishment of a joint security mechanism.
It is noteworthy that the Valdai Forum was established in 2004 and aims to promote dialogue between Russian and international intellectual elites and provide an objective, independent scientific analysis of political, economic and social developments in Russia and the world.
