The US-backed Qasad militia kidnaps nine civilians from the town of Sweidan, in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor, (ST) – The Qasad (SDF) militia supported by the American occupation forces implemented new raids and kidnapped a number of civilians in the town of Sweidan in Deir Ezzor, southeastern countryside, in an attempt to control the protest demonstrations demanding the expulsion of that militia and the US occupation forces from the area.

Civil sources reported to SANA’s correspondent that the (Qasad) militia raided the houses of citizens in the town of Sweidan and kidnapped 9 civilians and took them to an unknown area. The militia also deployed several checkpoints inside the town to prevent the people from participating in the protest demonstrations which are occurring in many villages and towns in Deir Ezzor countryside demanding the expulsion of the militia (Qasad) and the American occupation forces.

The countryside of Deir Ezzor is witnessing continuous popular demonstrations calling for the expulsion of the American occupation and the (Qasad) militia, which has been persistent in harassing the people, stealing their property, besieging a number of villages and towns, arresting dozens of young men elders and tribal sheikhs, and stealing the wealth of the Jazira region.
