The United States prepares to provide new military aid to Ukraine

Washington (ST): US media revealed that Washington is in the process of approving a new package of military aid to Ukraine worth $800 million, less than a week after announcing a similar package of the same value.

CNN quoted senior officials in the administration of President Joe Biden as saying that details of the new package are still being prepared, while NBC News reported that the new aid is expected to include more artillery weapons and tens of thousands of missiles.

The White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki announced yesterday that Biden and other leaders, during a video conference dedicated to Ukraine, discussed the issue of providing additional munitions and security assistance to Ukrainian forces.

On April 13, Biden revealed a $800 million military aid package for Kiev, including helicopters, howitzers and armored personnel carriers.
