The United Nations adopts five resolutions in favor of Palestine by majority

New York (ST): The United Nations General Assembly adopted by an overwhelming majority five resolutions in favor of the Palestinian cause related to Palestinian refugees and Israeli settlements and the investigation of its human rights violations.

 

Wafa Agency stated that the first decision related to continuing to provide support to Palestinian refugees won the support of 164 countries, while only the Israeli occupation entity voted against it, and 10 countries, including the United States, abstained.

The second resolution related to the operations of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees “UNRWA” received the support of 162 countries, and the occupying entity, the United States, Canada, Micronesia and the Marshall Islands voted against it, while six countries abstained.

The third resolution on the property of Palestinian refugees and the revenues from them was supported by 159 countries, the occupying entity voted against it, four countries voted against it, and eight countries abstained.

 The fourth resolution on Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory received the support of 146 countries, while the occupation entity voted against it, and six countries voted against it, and 20 countries abstained.

As for the fifth resolution concerning the work of the committee concerned with investigating Israeli practices affecting the human rights of the Palestinian people in the occupied territories, 80 countries supported it, the occupying entity voted against it, 17 countries voted against it, and 73 countries abstained.
