The UN Security Council holds a meeting on Sunday about the Israeli aggression on Gaza

New York (ST): The UN Security Council will hold a virtual public meeting next Sunday on the continued Israeli aggression against Gaza and developments in the occupied Palestinian territories.

“AFP” agency quoted diplomats in the Council as saying that this meeting, which was scheduled today at the request of Tunisia, Norway and China, was obstructed by the United States.

Earlier, the US prevented the holding of a special session of the UN Security Council to discuss the developments of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli occupation entity is launching comprehensive aggression on the Gaza Strip for the fifth consecutive day, which has so far resulted in the death of more than a hundred Palestinians, including children, in addition to severe material damage, especially in residential buildings.

Occupied Jerusalem is also subjected to a systematic Judaization campaign aimed at emptying it from the Palestinian presence, as the occupation authorities seek to displace dozens of Arab families from Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood with the aim of handing it over to settlers.
