The UN calls on Israel to stop its violations against Palestinian prisoners in Gaza

The United Nations has condemned the inhumane methods used by the Israeli occupation forces with Palestinian prisoners from the Gaza Strip, calling for an end to these human rights violations.

Reuters quoted the human rights representative of the organization Ajit Songhai telling reporters after meeting in Gaza a number of prisoners released in the strip: “they were detained by Israeli forces in unknown places for between 30 to 55 days,” noting that there are reports confirming that they were tortured, beaten, blindfolded, and then some were later released in underwear in cold weather.

The commission for prisoners ‘ Affairs and the Palestinian prisoner’s club issued an urgent appeal last December to the world and international human rights institutions to put pressure on the Israeli occupation, to reveal the fate of the prisoners who have been detained from the Gaza Strip since the beginning of its aggression on the seventh of October last year and to stop the crime of enforced disappearance against them.
