The two Palestinian prisoners, Awwadeh and Rayan, continue their hunger strike to protest against the Israeli occupation’s violations

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – Despite the deterioration of their health, the two Palestinian prisoners, Khalil Awawda and Raed Rayan, continue with their hunger strike to protest the violations of the Israeli occupation against the prisoners.

Wafa News Agency reported that 40-year-old prisoner, Awawda, is on the  77th day of his strike, amid a continuous deterioration in his health, as he suffers from chest pains, vomiting, a large lack of fluid, blurred vision, and irregular heartbeat and breathing. He can only move on a wheelchair.

The 27-year-old prisoner, Rayan continues with his hunger  strike for the 42nd day. He suffers from headaches and joints, stomach problems and pressure in his eyes. He complains of severe fatigue and constant vomiting. He cannot walk and moves in a wheelchair. Despite the seriousness of Rayan’s health, the occupation forces continue to hold him in a single cell inside a prison camp, Ofer.

It is noteworthy that Awawda was arrested on the 27th of last December and has previously been arrested several times since 2002. He is married and the father of four daughters. Rayan was arrested on the 3rd of last November. He previously spent about 21 months in the Israeli occupation prisons.
