The two Palestinian prisoners, Awawda and Rayan, continue their hunger strike

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The two Palestinian prisoners, Khalil Awawda and Raed Rayan, continue with their hunger strike to protest the violations of the Israeli occupation against the prisoners.

Wafa News Agency reported that  40-year-old prisoner, Awawdahas continued his strike for the 61st day, amid a continuous deterioration in his health, while the 27-year-old prisoner. Meanwhile  prisoner, Rayan continues with  his strike for the 26th day.

Despite the deterioration in the health of the two prisoners,the occupation forces have refused to release them.

In a message to his family, Awawda explained that his health condition has continued to deteriorate, as he suffers from severe weakness and inability to control his body, as well as blurred vision. He pointied out that the occupation deliberately neglects the health status of prisoners in an attempt to break their will.

For his part,  prisoner Rayan suffers from pain in the head and joints, in addition to suffering from pain in the flank and knees, and difficulty walking.

Awawda was arrested on the 27th of last December and has previously been arrested several times since 2002. He is married and the father of four daughters. Rayan was arrested on the 3rd of last November. He previously spent about 21 months in the Israeli occupation prisons.
