The twenty-sixth edition of Al-Wafa Show- jumping Championship opened
Damascus Countryside (ST): The Al-Wafa Equestrian Show Jumping Tournament kicked off in its twenty-sixth edition on the grounds of Al-Basel Club in Dimas, Damascus Countryside, with the participation of riders of various categories.
In a speech during the opening, the head of the Equestrian Federation, Atef Al-Zeibaq, pointed out the importance of this tournament and the great position it holds among Syrian riders, and the great efforts being made to develop the equestrian sport in Syria.
Al- Zeibaq pointed to the great care that our knights receive, the distinguished level of skill they enjoy, and the remarkable results they achieved in many tournaments, through which they raised the flag of the nation high.
The results of the first day’s competitions resulted in Ahmed Hamsho winning first place in the “Big Tour” category with a time of 22.27 seconds, Sham Al-Assad in second place with a time of 22.29 seconds, and Laith Al-Ali third with a time of 22.82 seconds, Hammam Al-Khouli fourth with a time of 23.41.
