The Turkish regime authorities issue arrest warrants for 56 people

Ankara, (ST) – The Turkish regime authorities issued arrest warrants for 56 people, including military personnel, under the pretext of their association with Fethullah Gülen, whom the regime accuses of being behind the 2016 coup attempt.

The Anatolia News Agency, speaking on behalf of the Turkish regime, quoted security sources as saying on Tuesday that, “the Istanbul Public Prosecution issued arrest warrants against 56 persons, including a soldier in a military service officials dismissed from service and retirees.” 27 of them were arrested in raids and arrests in 15 provinces, including Istanbul.

 

Since the attempted coup, the regime of Recep Tayyip Erdogan has launched a campaign of arrests and dismissals from work that covered all public sectors and led to the arrest of tens of thousands of opponents and the dismissal or suspension of work of about 150,000 government employees, members of the army, police, judiciary, media and others.
