The Turkish regime authorities issue arrest warrants for 532 people

Ankara, (ST) – The Turkish regime authorities have issued arrest warrants against 532 people under the pretext of their association with the organization of the preacher Fethullah Gülen, whom this regime accuses of being behind the coup attempt in the country in 2016.

The Anatolia News Agency, speaking on behalf of the Turkish regime, quoted security sources as saying today that, “as part of an investigation conducted by prosecutors in Istanbul and the western province of Izmir, an operation was launched to arrest 532 people, including 459 military personnel. The arresting operation included 62 provinces in the country.”

Since the attempted coup, the regime of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has launched a campaign against its opponents that include all public sectors. This has led to the arrest of tens of thousands and the expulsion or suspension of about 150,000 government employees, members of the army, police, judiciary, media and others from work.
