The Turkish regime authorities issue arrest warrants for 36 people

Ankara, (ST) – The Turkish regime authorities have issued arrest warrants against 36 people, including military personnel, under the pretext of their association with the preacher Fethullah Gulen, whom this regime accuses of being behind the coup attempt in the country in 2016.

The Anadolu Agency, speaking on behalf of the Turkish regime, quoted security sources as saying on Monday that, “the Public Prosecution issued arrest warrants against 36 persons, including 24 serving soldiers, three retired and nine dismissed soldiers, in the northwestern Balikesir province, northwestern Turkey.”

Since the attempted coup, the regime of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has launched a campaign against its opponents that include all public sectors. This has led to the arrest of tens of thousands and the expulsion or suspension of about 150,000 government employees, members of the army, police, judiciary, media and others from work.
