The Turkish regime arrests 31 people over alleged links to Gulen

The Turkish regime’s authorities have arrested 31 people over alleged links to the Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen, whom Erdogan’s government accused of orchestrating a failed coup in Turkey.

According to Anadulu News Agency, the mouthpiece of the Turkish regime, reported on Wednesday that the arrests were carried out in Izmir province, west of Turkey, in implementation of the arrest warrants that come within the framework of investigations conducted by the Public Prosecution in this province.

 Among the arrested persons are directors of security bodies and police commissioners, who were previously dismissed for the same charge, as well as retired soldiers and other citizens.

 Since the coup attempt in 2016, the Turkish regime has launched a wide-scale crackdown on his opponents inside and outside Turkey. It detained and dismissed from work hundreds of thousands of civilians and military personnel.
