The Turkish regime announces the killing of one of its soldiers in northern Iraq

On May 29th, the Turkish Defense Ministry announced the killing of one of its soldiers and the wounding of another in northern Iraq as a result of its military operation.

“An explosive device went off while  two Turkish soldiers were passing, killing one of them and wounding the second,” Agence France-Presse quoted a statement of the Turkish Defense Ministry

With the death of this soldier, the death toll of the Turkish regime forces has risen to seven soldiers in the same area since last Tuesday.

Last April, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry summoned the ambassador of the Turkish regime in Baghdad, Ali Reza Konay, and handed him a note of protest against the ongoing Turkish violations of Iraqi sovereignty.

It is noteworthy that the Turkish regime repeatedly attacks Iraqi lands in the north of the country in violation of Iraqi national sovereignty and a clear violation of international covenants and laws.
