The Tunisian presidency calls on the people not to slip behind the advocates of chaos

Tunisia (ST): The Tunisian presidency called on the people to pay attention and not to fall behind the advocates of chaos, noting that the order to freeze the activities of the Tunisian Parliament will last 30 days.

In a statement published by the Tunisian presidency on its website today, it said that President Kais Saied’s decisions came after consulting both the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the Assembly of People’s Representatives, and pursuant to Article 80 of the Constitution.

The statement pointed out that the parliamentary immunity of all members of the Assembly of the Representatives was lifted, and the President of the Republic assumed the executive authority with the help of a government headed by a prime minister appointed by the President.

The statement indicated that an order will be issued in the coming hours regulating these exceptional measures, which were necessitated by the circumstances, and which will be lifted by the disappearance of their causes.
