The Taliban threatens the Turkish regime if it keeps its forces in Afghanistan

On July 5th, the Taliban movement in Afghanistan threatened the Turkish regime if it keeps its forces deployed in the country amid its rejection of any military presence inside Afghanistan.

“ Any military presence, including Turkey, which wants to keep its forces in Afghanistan and not implement the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) decision to withdraw from the country for non-diplomatic purposes will be classified as a military occupation,” the Turkish newspaper Zaman quoted Taliban spokesman Mohammad Naim as saying

Turkey had offered to stay in Afghanistan under the pretext of securing Hamid Karzai Airport in the capital, Kabul, and the Taliban commented on the Turkish proposal by declaring its rejection and asking it to withdraw its forces from the country
