The Syrians’ steadfastness and support for their army have foiled the terrorist war waged against their country: Nasrallah

The steadfastness of Syria, as a people, army and leadership, has foiled the terrorist war which has been targeting the country over the past ten years, Secretary General of the Lebanese National Resistance Movement Hizbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, stressed in an interview with “Al-Mayadeen” TV last night.

“Syria has been exposed to a heinous war because of its strategic location and national stances, particularly towards the Palestinian cause,” Nasrallah said, pointing out that the Syrians’ steadfastness and support for their army and leadership, in addition to the support of allies, has foiled the war launched against Syria.

He added that the capabilities of the axis of resistance, today, have become many times more potent to what they used to be years ago.

“Our axis has maintained its strong presence in the entire region and it has been able to achieve victories. Today, this axis is stronger than ever,” he affirmed.

The Secretary General of Hizbollah reaffirmed the readiness and ability of the Lebanese national resistance to hit any Israeli enemy target in the occupied Palestinian territories as it possesses accurate rockets and weapons that are able to do that.

He asserted that the resistance will retaliate against any possible Israeli aggression.

With regard to the formation of the Lebanese government, Nasrallah said that the problem lies in the lack of trust between political parties in the country. He stressed the need to speed up efforts to form the government, noting that dealing with the current situation in Lebanon requires the presence of a government.
