DAMASCUS, (ST) _ The First Exhibition on reconstructing Syria will be held on November 24th in Damascus under the title “the Syrians Build Syria”.

 Tens of national companies are to take part in the event, which is organized by the Syrian International Marketing Association (SIMA) in cooperation with the ministries of housing and public works and with support from the Union of the Syrian Chambers of Commerce.

 SIMA’s Director Muwaffak Tayyara said in a statement that “the exhibition is a response to the situation in Syria and to the requirements of the reconstruction process in which all national trade and economic activities should take part.”

He added that the event will include workshops dealing with aspects of the reconstruction process and with the plans of general companies and establishments in this respect.

Tayyara pointed out that through holding the exhibition, SIMA aims to contribute to drawing up the work strategy for the coming era and to bring together the national and international resources in the service of the rebuilding activities. It also aims to present up-to-date techniques in construction, he said, noting that the exhibition will display the latest productions of world’s services and technical equipments.

The exhibition is due to cover several domains including building, construction, real estate and engineering services in addition to the domains of energy, dynamics, technical consultations, infrastructure, mechanical contracting, banks and insurance.
