The Syrian valiant armed forces celebrate the 78th anniversary of Evacuation Day

Damascus, (ST) – The Syrian valiant armed forces celebrated the seventy-eighth anniversary of the evacuation of the last foreign soldier from the homeland in a major historical epic that was the result of enormous sacrifices made by our ancestors for the freedom, independence and sovereignty of Syria and the expulsion of the occupier from the sacred land of Syria.

On this occasion, the leaders of the army units and formations gave speeches in which they spoke about the connotations and symbolism of the evacuation in the conscience of the Syrian people. They stressed that the memory of the evacuation is still alive and it is immortal in the conscience of the nation’s honorable and free people, igniting the flame of struggle to defend honor and make more sacrifices for the sake of pride, dignity and national independence.

The leaders pointed out that the anniversary of the evacuation comes today while our country is still facing the forces of oppression and aggression that are sparing no effort to undermine Syria’s steadfastness and its honorable positions in the face of their old and new colonial projects aimed at controlling the peoples of the region and plundering their resources.

The celebrations included military parades and various training sessions in military units and barracks, which confirmed that the children and grandchildren of those who achieved the evacuation are today stronger and more determined to continue the path of sacrifices until victory and liberation are achieved.
