The Syrian-Russian Governmental Committee holds follow up meeting in Moscow to discuss economic cooperation

The Syrian-Russian governmental Committee held a follow up meeting co-chaired by Minister of State for Presidential Affairs Mansour Azzam for the Syrian side and by the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov for the Russian side.

The committee carried out an assessment for the economic cooperation projects between the two countries and discussed several agreements and joint projects in the fields of agriculture, industry, energy and water and information technology. The committee also discussed procedures for facilitating and boosting trade exchange, focusing on the major role that can be played by the business sector in both countries.

The two sides highlighted the prospects of providing an encouraging environment for value-added joint investments that serve the interests of the peoples in Syria and Russia.

Preparations for holding the 13th joint governmental committee to enhance economic relations were also discussed.
