NEW YORK, (ST)-Syria’s Permanent Representative at the United Nations Bashar Al-Jaafari has stressed that the Syrians’ suffering can be ended through fighting terrorism not through political blackmailing.
During a Security Council session on “The Humanitarian Situation in Syria” , al-Jaafari said the unilateral coercive sanctions were another reason for the Syrians’ suffering, so they should be lifted.
He affirmed that the solution to the crisis in Syria is well-known to all and it is represented by implementing the Security Council resolutions away from the double standard policies and the hypocrisy adopted by some members.
He reiterated that the support provided by Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey to the terrorist organizations which keep committing massacres against the Syrian people should be stopped.
He wondered why the terrorists in Syria are called moderate while they are described as terrorists when they commit terrorist acts in France, America or any other western country.
There is no good terrorism and bad terrorism, according to al-Jaafari, who pointed out that the Syrian people has suffered a lot from terrorism.
The number of civilians killed by the recent French airstrikes against Tokhan town in Aleppo country is double the number of people killed by terrorism in Nice, al-Jaafari said.
