The Syrian navy men: the heroism of our ancestors against the French colonialists is a beacon for us
Seventy-six years have passed since the evacuation of the French colonizer from Syria and SANA’s camera visited one of the combatant units in the naval forces in Latakia.
The fighter Ali, the commander of the Frogmen Brigade, stressed the importance and sanctity of this memory dear to the hearts of the Syrians who are still making sacrifices for the sake of the nation’s sovereignty, pride and dignity.
The fighter Ali praised the heroism of the Syrians throughout the Syrian geography, starting from the coast, passing through Aleppo, Damascus and Sweida to defeat the French occupation.
He stressed that the naval and coastal defense forces are always ready to carry out all combat missions along the coast and the entire Syrian geography to repel any aggression aimed at undermining national sovereignty.
In turn, Brigadier General Samir, the political guidance officer in the Brigade, said: “The revolutions led by the heroic mujahideen Sheikh Saleh Al-Ali, Ibrahim Hanano, Hassan Al-Kharrat and Sultan Pasha Al-Atrash forced the French colonialist to leave Syria.”
The fighter Ahmed congratulated the Syrian people on this national occasion, which carries all the meanings of honor, pride, dignity and the pledge that the Syrian navy men will remain the watchful eye in protecting the Syrian shores.
The fighter Ahmed congratulated our valiant army and the steadfast Syrian people on the feast of evacuation.
The fighter Ibrahim said: “The anniversary is an opportunity for us to celebrate our comrades in the army, and we offer our lives so that our coasts remain safe from any aggressor, and that our waters remain forbidden to others.”
The fighter Shadi clarified that despite the passage of seventy-six years since the evacuation of the French colonizer, the cries of the men of the popular revolutions against the French colonialists still echo in our ears.
