The Syrian-Iranian Joint Committee on Public Works and Housing starts its meetings in Tehran

Tehran,( ST)  – The meetings of the Syrian-Iranian Joint Committee in the field of public works and housing started at the headquarters of the Iranian Ministry of Roads and City Building in order to enhance bilateral cooperation and working to achieve a qualitative leap in the field of construction and construction of suburbs and cities as required by the reconstruction phase in Syria.

The meetings were headed by the Syrian Minister of Public Works and Housing, Eng. Suhail Abdul Latif, and the Iranian side by Dr. Mohammad Eslami, Minister of Roads and Urban Construction, in the presence of the Syrian Ambassador to Tehran, Dr. Adnan Mahmoud and Hassan Danaee Far, Advisor to the First Vice President of the Iranian Government and private experts from both countries.

Minister Abdul Latif stressed the importance of practical implementation of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the two sides and the start of joint work between the companies concerned.
Abdul Latif stressed the importance of signing the executive program of the MoU that had been signed between the two sides in the first month of this year during the meeting of the Syrian-Iranian Committee in Damascus.
The Iranian Minister of Roads affirmed his ministry’s readiness to cooperate with the Syrian Ministry of Public Works and Housing and work towards achieving tangible results in this field.
The two sides stressed the necessity to achieve joint partnerships in the field of housing and public works and to intensify efforts to implement all that had been discussed on the ground to serve the interests of the two countries and the two friendly peoples. The draft executive program of the memorandum of understanding was also discussed by the experts of both parties to be signed during this visit.
