The Syrian Investment Agency proposes 26 sites for the establishment of renewable energy projects

Director General of the Syrian Investment agency, Madin Diab, said that he seeks real opportunities to implement environmentally friendly projects in the sector of alternative and renewable energies.

On the mechanism of establishing renewable and alternative energies projects, Diab said in a statement to SANA Economic Bulletin that the Commission held several meetings to support the renewable energies sector and provide facilities to investors due to its importance and urgency in the coming period.

The Agency met with representatives of the Ministries of Agriculture, Electricity, and Local Administration and the Regional Planning Commission to review 26 sites proposed for the establishment of renewable energy projects in all governorates in accordance with the requirements and capacities required by the Ministry of Electricity, Diab added.

Diab said that the Commission is continuing to implement its plan in cooperation with parties concerned to support environmentally friendly projects and encourage investors to enter the Syrian investment environment in the field of renewable energies.
