The Syrian-Indian Bilateral Relations Highlighted

Homs, (ST)- Homs Governor, Mr. Talal Al-Barazi, met the Ambassador of the Republic of India in Syria, Dr. Hefez Al-Rahman.

The Governor praised the bilateral historical relations between the two countries and expressed the respect and appreciation of the Syrian people to the Indian people and its leadership that rejects the terrorism that Syria is suffering in order to undermine its heritage, history and sovereignty. He also pointed to the civilization and history of India and its technical, technological and economic achievements in all fields.

Mr. Al-Barazi highlighted the current security situation in the province, the preparations and the proposed plans for the start of the reconstruction phase, pointing out the importance of benefiting from the support and efficiency of the Indian companies involved in this field, stressing that the military and political process is continuing to liberate all Syrian territory.

The governor spoke about the unjust economic siege imposed on Syrian companies and people and its effect on preventing the importation of construction materials and thus delaying the reconstruction process and prolonging the war, besides the impact on the health sector in terms of medical devices and other areas of life.

For his part, Ambassador Al-Rahman pointed out that the Indian people support the Syrian people in their war against terrorism, considering that the growth in the bilateral relations between Syria and India is a result of the efforts exerted by the leaders of the two countries, referring to the aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries, especially in the technical, industrial and scientific fields.
