The Syrian community in UAE honors champions of the Arab Reading Challenge in Syria

The Syrian community in the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday honored the champions of the Arab Reading Challenge in Syria in its seventh season, who participated in the final qualifiers of the initiative, held in UAE, and in which Syria won second place.

During the honoring ceremony at the building of the Syrian General Consulate in Dubai, the Syrian Consul General in the Emirate of Dubai and the Northern Emirates of the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Ziad Zahr Eddin , pointed out that the honoring aims to confirm that Syria has a long history in this creative, cultural field, and is one of the countries that witnessed human civilization in science, culture, and the spread of knowledge.

He pointed out that the participation of this number of Syrian students in the qualifiers, specifically students from the category of people with disabilities confirmed  the insistence of Syrian children on excellence and brilliance.

Dr. Zahr Eddin  thanked the members of the Syrian community in the Emirates, who contributed to this honoring event and highly appreciated the achievement made by these  students by winning the second place in the Arab Reading Challenge.

The general coordinator of the initiative in Syria Ali Al-Abbas said  that this honoring initiative is not strange, as members of the Syrian community in the Emirates always  carry out  motivational initiatives for Syrian students through  constant honoring the distinguished ones who represent Syria in international forums.

Al-Abbas stressed that this honoring  is an evidence of the cohesion of the Syrians, indicating the importance of  honoring students who are role models for their colleagues in terms of excellence and achieving first places in such cultural competitions.

On Wednesday,  Syria won second place in the final qualifiers for the Arab Reading Challenge initiative in its seventh edition, which was held  at the Dubai Opera.
