Cabinet: The Syrian army has carried the banner of defending the Arab nation and its just causes

Damascus, (ST) – “The Syrian Arab Army, over seven decades, has presented the most wonderful epics of heroism, sacrifice and redemption in order to defend the homeland and preserve its unity, sovereignty, independence and independent national decision. This army was and still truly an army to defend the country”, the cabinet said.

In a statement on the 77th anniversary of the founding of the Syrian Arab Army, the cabinet added that, “the Syrian army, which has carried the banner of defending the Arab nation and its just causes in the face of colonialism in all its forms, has continued, for more than eleven years, its lofty national mission in defending the land and the people in the face of terrorism and a global war which is backed by the forces of evil and aggression in the world.”

The statement pointed out that, we must remember with the pride our martyrs, the flames of the light who pledged to God and the homeland to offer the best of what they have to remain the banner of the homeland.

The statement directed a greeting of appreciation to the hero army, its commander-in-chief and its honorable men, officers, non-commissioned officers and individuals, and a salute to the souls of the honorable martyrs who sacrificed their blood for the sake of the homeland’s pride and dignity, and a salute to the wounded heroes, the living martyrs.

The statement also stressed the fulfillment of the blood of the martyrs through insistence and proceeding in the march of reconstruction, construction and societal economic development and exerting efforts and the utmost energies to advance Syria again to return stronger than it was.
