The Syrian Army liberates many areas in Aleppo and Idleb countryside, re-establishes control over more than 600 square km: General Command

DAMASCUS, (ST)-The Syrian Arab Army General Command announced that the army units in the provinces of Idleb and Aleppo continued their advance in the battle to eliminate the terrorist organizations that have escalated their attacks against civilians and used locals in the terrorist-held areas as human shields.

In a statement on Sunday, the Command said that the Syrian armed forces achieved major gains by liberating many villages and towns in the countryside of the two provinces.

According to the statement, the Army units advancing from Idleb eastern countryside met units advancing from the southern countryside of Aleppo after establishing control over an area of more than 600 square km and liberating tens of villages, towns and surrounding hills.

 The statement pointed out that the liberated areas included Khan al-Sabil, Kafr Battikh, Joubas, al-Nairab, Tal Mardikh, Kafr amim, Afes, Saraqeb, Tal al-Tabariz, Maharim, Ebla University, Rasem al-Ess, al-Sheikh Ahmad, Zamar, Houir al-Ess, Tal Bajer, Rasem al-Sahrij, Tal Touqan, Jazraya, Khan Touman, Khalsa, al-Qarasi, Zitan, al-Sheikh Idris, al-Rayan, Louf, al-Ess.

The Command affirmed that the Syrian army will continue to do its national duty in defending the sovereignty of the homeland and the dignity of the citizens and in ridding Syrians of the atrocities of the terrorist organizations. It reiterated that attempts by the countries supporting terrorism won’t succeed in preventing the speedy collapse of the terrorist groups and that the army will press ahead with the fight against terrorism until the entire Syrian territory is clean of terrorism and its supporters.
