The Syrian Arab Army team ranks second in the tank biathlon of the International Military Games in Russia

Moscow, (ST) – The Syrian Arab Army team won the second place in the tank biathlon race as part of the activities of the eighth annual International Military Games for 2022. The competitions were launched on Saturday at the Patriot National Military Complex of the Russian Ministry of Defense in the town of Alabino on the outskirts of the capital.

Along with the Syrian Arab Army team, 275 military teams from 37 countries are participating in this year’s activities, competing in 36 competitions.

During today’s competitions, the Syrian Arab Army team won the second place in the tank biathlon, along with three other participating teams from Armenia, Laos and Myanmar. Myanmar team ranked first, Laos team ranked third, and Armenia team ranked fourth.

The official opening of the Games is scheduled for next Monday in El Abino.

The International Military Games, which are contested on land, at sea and in the air, are competitions for professional soldiers of the best armies in the world, and their first session was held in the Russian Federation in 2015 with the participation of military teams from 17 countries.

These games are called the Military Olympic Games, as they constitute prominent sporting events, while the tank biathlon race, in which the Syrian Arab Army team always participates, is one of the most prominent and exciting competitions. The participants in these competitions display their skills in driving tanks, overcoming obstacles and accuracy of throwing during the fast march.

The competitions have several stages from the individual race in which all teams participate, then the semi-final round with the participation of 12 teams, and the final relay round consisting of four teams.
