The Syrian Arab Army continues military operations in Idleb

A military source announced on Tuesday that the militants who are besieging civilians in the city of Saraqib and the area of Tal Touqan will be given one last chance to lay down arms and settle their situation.

“The Syrian Arab Army continues to implement its national duty in defending the land and eliminating terrorist groups that are still attacking the civilians in the de-escalation zone in Idlib”, the source said in a statement to SANA. “The terrorist groups work to surround and take civilians as hostages and human shields in the city of Saraqib and the area of Tal Touqan”.

The source added that in an attempt by our armed forces to give the militants a “last chance” in order to preserve the lives of the besieged civilians, the military units operating in the area will ” allow the settlement of the status of everyone who decides to lay down their arms instead of betting on the Turkish forces support of the terrorists”.

“The General Command of the Syrian Army and Armed forces, confirm that the presence of the Turkish forces is illegal and constitutes a flagrant hostile act”,  the source concluded, stressing at the same time its readiness to respond immediately to any attack by these forces against our forces operating in the region.
