The Syriac Orthodox Bishopric of Al-Jazira and Euphrates in Qameshli celebrates President Bashar Al-Assad’s re-election

Hasakeh (ST): The Syriac Orthodox Bishopric of Al-Jazira and Euphrates in Qameshli held an artistic ceremony with the participation of a crowd of the city’s residents, on the occasion of Dr. Bashar Al-Assad’s re-election as President of the Republic.

His Eminence Mar Maurice Amseeh, Archbishop of the Syriac Orthodox in the Jazira and Euphrates said in his speech that the city of Qameshli gathers with all its components to rejoice  in the hope that we have been waiting for so long, referring to the historic constitutional entitlement that this great people achieved .He likened it to the epics of victory that the Syrian Arab Army realized on all the squares, where we followed how the people of Syria rose from all the provinces to give their voice to its righteous son, Dr. Bashar al-Assad, to turn the page on the sorrows that afflicted Syria and its people during ten years of terrorist war and open the door to joys.

The participants stressed that President Bashar al-Assad’s victory represents a guarantee for all Syrians and their security and stability during the coming period.
