The Syrian-Russian Peace Initiative honors 50 families of martyrs and a number of outstanding students in Damascus
Under the patronage of the Governor of Damascus Countryside, Lawyer Safwan Abu Saadi, and in the presence of General Vadim Collet, Vice President of the Russian Center for Reconciliation, the Syrian-Russian Peace Initiative has recently held a ceremony honoring fifty families of the martyrs and wounded personnel , in addition to honoring a group of outstanding students of the Syrian-Russian Educational Peace center in Ashrafyet Sahnaye in Damascus countryside.
Russian General Vadim Collet stressed the importance of joint Syrian-Russian action and continuous coordination to eliminate terrorism throughout Syrian territory.
He added that the Reconciliation Center stands by the peace initiative and supports it in the field of caring for the families of the martyrs and the wounded and providing them with the necessary support in their humanitarian initiatives for the people of Syria.
The Governor of the Damascus countryside, Engineer Safwan Abu Saadi, pointed out in a statement to Syriatimes e newspaper that martyrdom is the most noble message a person carries when defending the homeland, and from this standpoint, all support and care is provided to the families and children of the martyrs, appreciating the Russian Federation’s standing by Syria in its battle against terrorism, and what it provides to the families of the martyrs.
The Director of the Initiative’s Media Office, Dr. Salwa Shaaban told Syriatimes that Syria is a country of peace, love, civilization and heavenly religions. The Syrians are one family and one blood. Honoring the martyrs and the wounded is a duty and a national right. The blood of the martyrs and the wounded is the crown of pride, glory and loftiness.”
She stressed that Honoring the families of the martyrs is a simple expression of love, gratitude and appreciation for the blood of the martyrs and the wounded, whose blood and wounds are a crown.
Dr. Shaaban indicated that the center has a comprehensive program for a group of awareness sessions and psychological support to spread positive energy and the energy of love and peace. As long as love, purity and peace unite us, we will not lose hope in the future.
“ As teaching is a sublime message, thus the main goal of the center is educational” Mr. Mo’atasem Najib, Head of the Syrian-Russian Peace Educational Center told Syriatimes e-newspaper.
He indicated that the center carries out educational courses for all subjects of the secondary and high school levels and honors outstanding students every month, adding free courses are held for the families of the martyrs and the wounded.
He noted that the center is a starting point for the opening of medical centers later affiliated with the Syrian-Russian Peace initiative in various governorates .
“The center also provides psychological support to students through refining and developing their talents, encouraging and honoring them through the interactive activities that are held” Mr.Najib said.
For their part, the honored students showed their appreciation for the joint Syrian-Russian efforts in providing them with all support in pursuing their education and pledged to the martyrs and wounded that their blood would not be in vain and that they would continue their struggle to defend the dignity and sovereignty of their country.
