The Syrian men’s basketball team beats its Saudi counterpart in the Asian qualifiers for the 2024 Paris Olympics
Damascus (ST): The Syrian men’s basketball team achieved an important victory over its Saudi counterpart, with a score of 71-73, in the Asian qualifiers for the Paris Olympics 2024, which are held in the Al-Fayhaa Sports City Hall in Damascus.
The first quarter of the match was characterized by good performance and high tactics by the two teams, with shots from outside the arc and concentrated attacks, through which our players Nadim Issa, Majd Arabsha and Hani Al-Duraibi distinguished themselves, and it ended in a draw of 20-20 points.
The Saudi team was able to outperform our team in the second quarter to end in his favor by 19-13 points, and our team was able to advance in the third quarter by a point difference of 18-17, and in the last quarter, our team excelled by 22-15 to end the match in his favor by a difference of two points.
